Grassroots Style Promotion
Challenge: Big Country Raw, raw food for dogs, had a great product and service, but needed to effectively “show” dog owners why they should choose Big Country Raw over other dog foods. We needed to find a creative way to provide a lot of information, while making it engaging enough to hold people’s interest. We were also working with a modest budget.
Solution: We created a 5-minute documentary style video, featuring interviews with Big Country Raw’s owners and employees. Interviewing the team enabled us to get all the information we needed – such as how the food is made, why it’s a healthier option for dogs, how easy it is to order, plus the company’s background. We were also able to capture the natural beauty of Big Country Raw’s surrounding property. This helped to address the fact that the company previously had very limited photography, and we could now “show” people where the food was coming from. Shooting a documentary style video gave us great flexibility as well – with no need to stick to a fixed script or timeframe, we could simply let the employees be themselves and tell the company’s story. And because we had the capabilities to shoot and edit the footage ourselves, it made the project even more cost effective.
